Setting Goals

I'm on my way to achieving my goal for 2013. This is of course referring to my One Little Word. Aspire. According to the picture below from Education Database Online people who succeed in achieving their goals start by doing three basic things that most people fail to do.

Set goals that are for you only.
Don't try to do too much too fast.
Write your goals down.

This is something that I have done with my One Little Word. I Aspire to become more healthy for me. I am not dieting, I am changing my lifestyle and doing it slowly, step by step. I am journaling about it with the help of my One Little Word. I am doing things along the way that I enjoy. I am scrapbooking/journaling and taking photos. Yay!!! I'm really excited about this and know that I will achieve my goal.

I am on the 47th floor of my building at work and so today, with the support of my lovely friend Crystal (who agreed to join me from now on), I walked down 47 flights of stairs and walked up 30. I can't say it was easy. I was sweating buckets, my legs were shaking like Jello and my heart felt too big for my chest but in the end I felt accomplished. An added bonus is that I didn't pass out.

Good luck to all of you who have set goals for yourself. Hang in there guys. You can do it. Ha ha. Sorry about the cheese.

If you'd like a tool for setting your goals, you can use this web application:

http://www.Gtdagenda.com

You can use it to manage your goals, projects and tasks, set next actions and contexts, use checklists, and a calendar.
Syncs with Evernote and Google Calendar, and also comes with mobile version, and Android and iPhone apps.
